Nur fünf Minuten mit dem Auto von Playa entfernt liegt Xcaret, ein ökologisch-archäologischer Erlebnispark mit zwei FlüBen, (einem unterirdischen und einem an der Oberfläche verlaufenden), eine Lagune, Cenoten, eine der schönsten Buchten der "Riviera Maya" und vielen archäologischen Fundstellen. Noch bis vor fünf jahrhunderten war Xcaret oder pole, wie es die Mayas nennen, ein intensv genutzter Handelshafen der regen Handel mir anderen karibischen Dörfern führte.

Tiere

Es gibt einige Einrichtungen in denen Tiere beobachtet werden können: Der vogelpark, die Inseln der Jaguars und Pumas, die Insel der Flamingos, die Insel der Affen und ein Schmetterlingsgehege.

CALICA

Calica ist eine groBe internationale Anlegestelle für kreuzfahrtschiffe und auch der Zielhafen für die Autofähre nach Cozumel. Es gibt zwei Terminals für Touristen, ein nationalen und ein internationalen, die beide mit allen gängigen Einrichtungen wie Taxis, Restaurants, Cafeterias; Telefonen und öffentlichen toiletten ausgestattet sind.

Paamul ist eine romantische Bucht, nahe bei einem Riff und der ideale Ort um ruhige, entspannte Ferien zu verbringen. The night life in Xcaret, with traditional dances and songs performed by torchlight, is famous throughout the Riviera Maya.

CALICA

Calica is a large international dock, used both as a stopover for cruise ships and a departure point for the car-ferry to Cozumel. Both the national and international terminals have taxi service, coffee shops, restaurants, telephones and public restrooms.
